A classic, timeless winter wedding at The Blackstone

Julia and Stephen were given my name from their close friend whose wedding I was doing earlier that same year. On our first call, they spoke about prioritizing a their friends and family, and planning a day that felt relaxed and stress-free. That and unique wine!

They highlighted wanting high quality, timeless, and classic photography. Having a December wedding, we decided to have their first look while there was still daylight shining through the gorgeous English room at The Blackstone. Given the frigid weather and early sunset, this gave us time to capture gorgeous portraits without freezing outdoors.

To capture that classic feel they wanted in their portraits, I leaned into posing prompts that feel old-school and traditional. At the same time I encouraged interaction and movement between them, giving us a gorgeous take on classic portraits. 

Julia & Stephen were featured on Anne Barge's Instagram shortly after their wedding, highlighting her custom wedding gown and timeless look.
