Joy filled summer wedding at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Illinois

Grace and Austin were given my name by their wedding planner, Megan Estrada, owner of NSWE Events. Megan has been planning high end weddings in the Chicago area for over 12 years and we've worked together on over a dozen weddings.

The first time I spoke with Grace and Austin, they mentioned their highest priority for the day was having everyone together and throwing them a great party.

They also emphasized wanting photos that feel joyful and capture all the fun and energy throughout the day. That and guidance to feel comfortable and look their best in portraits.

Their wedding day at Westmoreland Country Club was warm and very sunny! With all this extremely harsh midday sunlight, I carefully selected portrait locations that would give us a gorgeous backdrop and flattering light, while also letting them stand in the shade and not stare directly into the sun.

Some of my favorite images of the day are the sweet first look between Grace and her dad, the hugs with Grandmas throughout the day, and their exit from the church. For the church exit, I photographed them head-on, while having my second photographer stay inside the church, yielding two amazing angles that really tell the story of that moment.
